Finesse/Bloody Samaritan (Pheelz, Ayra Starr) | Mashup Cover
My mates are singing for money, I dey here… singing to destress. *phew!*
After weeks of writing screenplays, pitches, proposals, all totally non related by the way (work is essentially me sitting and writing A LOT!). I indulged in karaoke and was mumbling Asa to Sam Smith’s ‘I’m Not The Only One’ which banged by the way. More than 30 minutes deep into quiet falsetto sounds (because why should anyone hear me sing, at 1 am in the morning, why would anyone hear me sing at all? *cringe*), I came across an instrumental remake of Pheelz’ ‘Finesse’ by @MakeSenseProducer and I just enjoyed singing along, plus, it was the perfect key.
In-between the bridge and the chorus, I mumbled Ayra Starr’s ‘Bloody Samaritan’ and the synergy was great. I enjoyed grooving to it. I asked my friend (Honey Boy J / Producer) that I record my take of the song. FINESSE was my guilty pleasure when it was released, so why not do a cover?!.
BTW, this wasn’t necessarily the content I had in mind to post on my website but hey, I may not be a music artist but I enjoy singing, it’s innate and part of my creative process. It’s only right to share that side of me.
